Job summary

Adani Group is seeking an experienced Raw Material Planner to ensure uninterrupted material supply for cement manufacturing. You will plan requirements, coordinate with operations and suppliers, and monitor inventory to avoid production disruptions.

The role requires 5–8 years in raw material management, procurement, SCM or logistics, with preference for candidates from cement, mining or process industries. This is an on-site role in India with focus on cost optimization and compliance.

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications include B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Mining, Chemical or Industrial Engineering.
• MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management/Operations is preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in Raw Material Management, Procurement, SCM, Logistics or Plant Operations.
• Candidates from Cement, Mining, Power, Steel or Process Industries are favored.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and plan raw material requirements to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with plant operations, mining, logistics and procurement teams for timely material availability.
• Track inventory levels and optimize stock to prevent disruptions.
• Manage supplier coordination, delivery schedules and dispatch follow-ups.
• Analyze consumption trends and forecast material needs.
• Monitor material quality with Quality and Production teams.
• Track procurement costs and identify cost-optimization opportunities.
• Prepare MIS reports on inventory, consumption, procurement and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Support contract management, vendor evaluation and supplier performance monitoring.

• To ensure uninterrupted availability of raw materials required for cement manufacturing through effective procurement planning, supplier coordination, inventory management, logistics monitoring, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities of Role

• Monitor and plan raw material requirements such as Limestone, Gypsum, Fly Ash, Slag, Coal, Pet Coke, Iron Ore, and other additives.
• Coordinate with plant operations, mining, logistics, and procurement teams for timely availability of materials.
• Track inventory levels and maintain optimum stock to avoid production disruptions.
• Manage supplier coordination, delivery schedules, and dispatch follow-ups.
• Analyze consumption trends and prepare material requirement forecasts.
• Monitor material quality parameters in coordination with Quality and Production teams.
• Track procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Prepare MIS reports related to inventory, consumption, procurement, and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
