Awfis Space Solutions Limited is seeking an Assistant Vice President - Procurement to lead regional procurement for the West region in Awfis Transform. The role drives end-to-end procurement across Design & Build projects, ensuring timely materials, competitive sourcing and governance to protect project timelines and profitability.

You will collaborate with Projects, Design, QS & Billing, Finance and Business teams to optimize costs, negotiate terms and onboard vendors.

Qualifications

• 12–18 years of experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
• Experience in Design & Build, interior fit-outs, construction, real estate, EPC or related industries preferred.
• Strong experience in regional and project procurement and vendor management.
• Proven expertise in commercial negotiations and cost optimization.
• Good understanding of BOQs, rate analysis, project schedules and D&B materials.
• Experience managing multiple projects and procurement categories simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior project and business leaders.
• Experience in developing and leading procurement teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end procurement for all Awfis Transform projects within the West region.
• Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules, BOQs, specifications and budgets.
• Ensure timely procurement of project materials, products, services and subcontracting requirements.
• Track critical and long-lead items and proactively address potential supply constraints.
• Ensure procurement is aligned with project budgets and approved commercial terms.
• Drive competitive sourcing across civil, MEP, furniture, finishes, lighting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other D&B requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors to achieve optimum commercial terms.
• Drive cost savings through bidding, rate benchmarking, volume consolidation, and value engineering.
• Develop regional rate benchmarks and market intelligence for key procurement categories.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and bulk procurement across projects.
• Build and manage a strong West region vendor ecosystem and onboarding of new vendors.
• Monitor vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Conduct regular vendor reviews and take corrective actions where required.
• Build strategic relationships with key regional suppliers.
• Review and evaluate vendor quotations, rate comparisons and commercial proposals.
• Lead commercial negotiations and finalize competitive rates and terms.
• Ensure adherence to budgets, rate contracts and procurement policies.
• Partner with QS & Billing and Finance on evaluation, payment terms and settlements.
• Support project teams in procurement-led margins improvements.
• Work with Regional Projects, Design, QS & Billing, Finance and Business Development to align procurement with requirements.
• Ensure procurement milestones align with project execution milestones.
• Participate in project reviews and highlight procurement risks and delays.
• Support Design and Project teams with alternate materials/vendors where viable.
• Escalate procurement issues with defined timelines.
• Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs and governance.
• Lead RFQs, comparisons, negotiations and PO processes.

The Assistant Vice President - Procurement will lead regional procurement for the West region for Awfis Transform, managing end-to-end procurement across Design & Build projects.

The role will be responsible for ensuring competitive sourcing, timely availability of materials and services, cost optimization, vendor development, commercial negotiations and procurement governance across the regional project portfolio.

The role will work closely with Projects, Design, QS & Billing, Finance and Business teams to ensure procurement decisions support project timelines, quality standards and overall project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regional Procurement

• Own end-to-end procurement for all Awfis Transform projects within the West region.
• Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules, BOQs, specifications and budgets.
• Ensure timely procurement of project materials, products, services and subcontracting requirements.
• Track critical and long-lead items and proactively address potential supply constraints.
• Ensure procurement is aligned with project budgets and approved commercial terms.

2. Strategic Sourcing & Cost Optimization

• Drive competitive sourcing across categories including civil, MEP, furniture, finishes, lighting, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other D&B requirements.
• Negotiate with vendors, suppliers and contractors to achieve optimum commercial terms.
• Drive cost savings through competitive bidding, rate benchmarking, volume consolidation, alternate sourcing and value engineering.
• Develop regional rate benchmarks and maintain market intelligence for key procurement categories.
• Identify opportunities for standardization and bulk procurement across projects.
• Build and manage a strong West region vendor and supplier ecosystem.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard vendors based on capability, pricing, quality, capacity and delivery track record.
• Develop alternate vendors for critical categories and locations.
• Monitor vendor performance on cost, quality, delivery and responsiveness.
• Conduct regular vendor reviews and take corrective actions wherever required.
• Build strategic relationships with key regional suppliers.

4. Commercial Management

• Review and evaluate vendor quotations, rate comparisons and commercial proposals.
• Lead commercial negotiations and finalize competitive rates and terms.
• Ensure adherence to approved budgets, rate contracts and procurement policies.
• Partner with QS & Billing and Finance teams on commercial evaluation, payment terms and vendor settlements.
• Support project teams in identifying procurement-led opportunities to improve project margins.

5. Project & Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Regional Projects, Design, QS & Billing, Finance and Business Development teams to understand project requirements.
• Ensure procurement milestones are aligned with project execution milestones.
• Participate in project reviews and highlight procurement risks, cost implications and potential delays.
• Support Design and Project teams with alternate materials/vendors wherever commercially and technically viable.
• Ensure procurement issues are escalated and resolved within defined timelines.

6. Procurement Governance

• Ensure compliance with procurement SOPs, approval matrices and commercial governance.
• Drive structured RFQs, comparative statements, negotiations and purchase order processes.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and audit readiness.
• Maintain regional procurement MIS covering spend, savings, open POs, delivery status, vendor performance and pending requirements.
• Identify process gaps and implement improvements to increase procurement efficiency and turnaround time.
• Lead and manage the regional procurement team for West.
• Define clear KRAs, responsibilities and performance metrics for the team.
• Build procurement capability through coaching, knowledge sharing and category expertise.
• Ensure accountability for procurement timelines, cost, quality and vendor performance.

Candidate Profile

• 12-18 years of experience in Procurement / Strategic Sourcing / Supply Chain.
