Job summary

Turner & Townsend India is seeking an experienced Cost Manager - Procurement to lead procurement cost management across large-scale projects in Tamil Nadu. You will manage vendor sourcing, budgeting, contract management and strategic procurement to deliver value and ensure timely delivery.

You should have strong commercial acumen, vendor management and experience with construction, fit-out, infrastructure or real estate projects across India.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities for project materials, equipment, and subcontract packages.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified vendors and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain a preferred vendor database.
• Conduct RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, and techno-commercial assessments.
• Lead commercial negotiations to achieve cost savings and favorable contract terms.
• Prepare cost estimates and procurement budgets.
• Monitor project procurement costs against approved budgets.
• Analyze procurement spend and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Drive value engineering initiatives without compromising quality and timelines.
• Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement analytics reports.
• Review, negotiate, and administer purchase orders and contracts.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and contractual obligations.
• Coordinate with legal and commercial teams for contract finalization.
• Track contractual deliverables, payment milestones, and claims.
• Collaborate with project teams, engineering, commercial, and finance departments to understand procurement requirements.
• Participate in project planning and procurement strategy discussions.
• Provide timely procurement updates to stakeholders.

Job Summary
