Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in India is hiring a Dialysis Technician to set up and operate hemodialysis machines, attach dialyzers and tubing, and prime circuits with saline. You will prepare dialysis solutions and explain the procedure to patients before treatment.

Additionally, you will connect the machine to the patient’s access site, monitor performance during dialysis, and maintain all required logbooks and records to ensure safe, compliant care in a busy clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Experience or training in hemodialysis procedures.

Summary of the role:

• Sets up and operates hemodialysis machine to provide dialysis treatment for patients with kidney failure
  • Attach dialyzer and tubing to machine and prime the extracorporeal circuits with 0.9% normal saline to prepare machine for use.
  • Label dialyzer & blood lines with patient name & ID prior to the first use (excluded single use).
  • Preparing dialysis solutions and mixing bicarbonate according to formula
  • Explains dialysis procedure and operation of hemodialysis machine to patient before treatment to allay anxieties.
  • Connects hemodialysis machine to patient’s access site to initiate dialysis.
  • Monitor hemodialysis machine for malfunction.
  • Maintain all the logbooks, forms & registers.
