Job summary

Sami Sabinsa Group in Bengaluru is seeking a procurement professional to manage end-to-end purchasing for ingredients, raw materials, packaging, and finished products across multiple sites. The role involves coordinating with Formulation R&D, PPIC, and production teams to ensure timely materials and uninterrupted production.

The ideal candidate will oversee supplier quotations, specifications, quality, pricing, and delivery, while maintaining fair practices and robust records for audit purposes.

Qualifications

• Experience in end-to-end procurement for ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials across multiple locations.
• Coordinate requirements for finished formulations, F&F products, private-labels and other business needs.
• Coordinate with Formulation R&D for samples and development materials.
• Participate in production planning at job-work locations with PPIC and Production teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory and stock at job-work locations and ensure timely replenishment.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation for raw materials and finished products across India.
• Review purchase requisitions for clarity of specifications, quantities, quality, and timelines.
• Obtain competitive quotations and prepare statements for evaluation.
• Finalize specifications, quantities, quality, pricing, and delivery with suppliers.
• Maintain fair procurement practices and equal opportunities for quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules and other commercial terms.
• Evaluate suppliers on quality, cost, delivery, service and suitability.
• Maintain procurement records and approvals for audit and compliance.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and track orders, shipments, and receipts.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics, warehouse, PPIC, Production, Quality and User Departments to resolve issues.
• Provide periodic status reports on pending orders and deliveries.
• Identify supply risks and take corrective actions to ensure continuity.

• Manage procurement activities for formulation ingredients, raw materials, and packaging materials across various job-work locations and manufacturing sites.
• Coordinate procurement requirements for finished formulations, F&F products, private-label products, and other business requirements.
• Coordinate with Formulation R&D teams for timely arrangement of required samples and development materials.
• Actively participate in production planning at job-work locations in coordination with the PPIC and Production teams.
• Monitor inventory and stock availability at job-work locations and ensure timely replenishment of materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation requirements for raw materials and finished products across India.
• Review purchase requisitions received from user departments and ensure clarity of specifications, quantities, quality requirements, and delivery timelines.
• Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from approved and potential suppliers and prepare comparative statements for commercial evaluation.
• Coordinate with user departments and suppliers to finalize specifications, quantities, quality requirements, pricing, and delivery schedules.
• Ensure fair and transparent procurement practices by providing suppliers with consistent requirements and equal opportunities to submit quotations.
• Negotiate competitive pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial and contractual conditions while maintaining business integrity.
• Evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, service, and overall commercial suitability.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, documentation, quotations, comparative statements, approvals, and related correspondence for audit and compliance purposes.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders in accordance with approved requirements, commercial terms, and organizational procedures.
• Track purchase orders, shipments, deliveries, and material receipts and proactively follow up with suppliers to ensure timely availability.
• Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, warehouse, PPIC, Production, Quality, and User Departments to resolve procurement and supply-related issues.
• Monitor pending orders, material receipts, and shipments in transit and provide periodic status reports to the concerned stakeholders.
• Identify potential supply risks and take timely corrective actions to ensure continuity of operations and adherence to production schedules.
