Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle in Bengaluru is seeking an Assistant Project Lead for Planning and Documentation to drive detailed project plans and schedules for interior fit-out initiatives. You will coordinate across design teams, contractors, and vendors to align deliverables while maintaining meticulous documentation and progress reporting.

The role requires 6+ years of planning/dokumentation experience for large-scale interior fit-out projects, with familiarity in BIM coordination and regulatory

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of proven planning and documentation experience for interior fit-out projects.
• Proven track record managing projects ≥ 100,000 sq ft.
• Experience in commercial, corporate, retail, or hospitality fit-outs preferred.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, AutoCAD, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for interior fit-out projects from inception to completion.
• Create and maintain critical path schedules using industry-standard planning software.
• Monitor project progress against baselines and identify delays or conflicts.
• Coordinate scheduling across multiple trades and stakeholders for seamless project execution.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation including method statements, progress reports, and as-built records.
• Maintain accurate records of milestones, deliverables, and key decisions.
• Generate regular status reports for senior management and clients.
• Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and timelines for interior fit-out projects from inception to completion
  • Create and maintain critical path schedules using industry-standard planning software
  • Monitor project progress against established baselines and identify potential delays or conflicts
  • Coordinate scheduling across multiple trades and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
• Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation including method statements, progress reports, and as-built records
  • Maintain accurate records of project milestones, deliverables, and key decisions
  • Generate regular status reports for senior management and clients
  • Ensure all documentation complies with project requirements and quality standards
• Project Coordination
  • Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and vendors to align project deliverables
  • Conduct regular site visits to verify progress and identify planning discrepancies
  • Facilitate coordination meetings with all project stakeholders
  • Support project managers in resource allocation and procurement planning
• Risk Management
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Track and manage project changes, ensuring proper documentation and approval processesMonitor compliance with safety regulations and quality standards

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 6 years of proven experience in planning and documentation for interior fit-out projects
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing projects of at least 100,000 square feet
• Experience with commercial, corporate, retail, or hospitality fit-out projects preferred

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in project planning software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out construction processes, trades sequencing, and coordination
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other design documentation software
• Competent in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
• Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection
• Knowledge of local building codes and fit-out regulations
