Role Summary
The Assistant Professor – Cyber Security will deliver contemporary, application-driven cyber security education aligned with industry standards, risk frameworks, and academic benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular academic sessions in Cyber Security and allied subjects (Network Security, Information Security, Risk Management, Compliance), ensuring teaching–learning efficiency and defined learning outcomes.
- Design and deliver experiential learning through lab simulations, vulnerability assessment exercises, case-based risk analysis, and security project assignments.
- Mentor students on security certifications, academic projects, internships, and technical readiness.
- Promote project-based learning in penetration testing fundamentals, compliance frameworks, and security architecture concepts.
- Integrate current cyber threat landscapes, governance frameworks, and regulatory standards into classroom discussions.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment design, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Engage in academic research, publications, technical seminars, FDPs, and institutional development activities.
- Support institutional KPIs aligned with student competency, industry relevance, and academic excellence.
Essential Qualifications
- M.Tech / MCA with minimum 55% marks.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in affiliated colleges / higher education institutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Applied cyber security expertise with strong academic delivery capability.
- Research and project mentoring exposure preferred.
- Outcome-driven and student-centric teaching approach.
