Role Summary
The Assistant Professor – Operating Systems will deliver strong conceptual and analytical foundations in core computing systems while ensuring experiential, lab-driven learning aligned with academic rigor and industry benchmarks.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular academic sessions in Operating Systems and allied core computing subjects, ensuring teaching–learning efficiency and achievement of defined learning outcomes.
- Design and deliver experiential learning through system-level case studies, lab simulations, performance analysis exercises, and problem-solving assignments.
- Mentor students on academic projects, system-level experimentation, internships, and technical readiness.
- Promote project-based learning involving kernel concepts, memory management simulations, concurrency exercises, and system design case work.
- Integrate contemporary computing architectures, cloud-based OS environments, and real-world system scenarios into classroom discussions.
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment planning, academic audits, and continuous quality enhancement.
- Engage in academic research, publications, technical seminars, FDPs, and institutional development activities.
- Support institutional KPIs aligned with academic rigor, student competency, and research contribution.
Essential Qualifications
- M.Tech / MCA with minimum 55% marks.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in affiliated colleges / higher education institutions.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Strong conceptual depth in systems programming and OS architecture.
- Demonstrated lab-oriented and analytical teaching effectiveness.
- Research publications and technical mentoring experience preferred.
