Job summary

Techdefence Labs in Mumbai seeks a Knowledgeable Cyber Security Trainer to deliver academic and practical instruction in cyber security. The role blends teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development to equip students with real-world threat-handling skills.

You will lead theory lectures, supervise labs, design labs and assessments, and collaborate with faculty to keep content aligned with industry practices.

Qualifications

• MTech in Cybersecurity (PhD preferred for senior roles).
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, OSCP) are desirable.
• Prior teaching/training experience or industry experience in cyber security domains such as network security, ethical hacking, digital forensics, or incident response.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in using cyber security tools, simulators, and learning platforms.

Responsibilities

• Conduct theory lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions covering core and advanced Cyber Security concepts.
• Develop and maintain course content, presentations, lab manuals, practical exercises, and digital resources.
• Assess and evaluate student learning through internal assessments, practical examinations, assignments.
• Participate in examination activities including question paper preparation, invigilation, evaluation, and results.
• Organize seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and FDPs to promote technical knowledge.
• Guide and mentor students in academic projects, research-oriented activities, professional certifications, and career development.
• Encourage participation in CTFs, hackathons, and other industry-relevant competitions.
• Stay updated with cyber security trends, tools, and industry practices.
• Collaborate with academic and technical teams to improve course delivery and outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback to help students build technical and professional skills.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated Cyber Security Trainer to join our academic team. The Cyber Security Trainer plays a critical role in delivering high-quality academic and practical instruction in cyber security. This position combines teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development to equip students with the skills needed to navigate real-world cyber threats. By integrating current industry practices and fostering an engaging learning environment, the trainer contributes to both student success and the institution’s academic excellence in the cyber security domain

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging theory lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions covering core and advanced concepts in Cyber Security and related technical domains.
• Develop and maintain course content, presentations, lab manuals, practical exercises, assignments, and digital learning resources aligned with curriculum objectives and academic requirements.
• Assess and evaluate student learning through internal assessments, practical examinations, assignments, and end-semester examinations.
• Participate in examination-related activities, including question paper preparation, invigilation, evaluation, and result-related academic responsibilities.
• Organize and deliver technical seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) to promote technical knowledge, industry awareness, and continuous professional development.
• Guide and mentor students in academic projects, research-oriented activities, professional certifications, and career development within the Cyber Security domain.
• Encourage and support students in participating in cyber security challenges, Capture the Flag (CTF) competitions, hackathons, technical events, and other industry-relevant competitions.
• Stay updated with the latest cyber security trends, tools, technologies, threats, and industry practices, and incorporate relevant developments into teaching and practical training.
• Collaborate with academic and technical teams to continuously improve course delivery, laboratory infrastructure, student engagement, and overall learning outcomes.
• Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to help students build strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, and professional skills required for careers in Cyber Security.

Qualifications & Skills:
