Job summary

Role Description

The Assistant Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at VSG Netralaya Eye Hospital in Tauru. This role involves supporting daily hospital operations, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring that clinical and administrative processes run smoothly. Responsibilities include supervising non-clinical staff, managing scheduling and front-office activities, and assisting with inventory, procurement, and vendor coordination. The Assistant Operations Manager will help implement operational policies, monitor compliance with quality and safety standards, track key performance indicators, and prepare basic reports for senior management. The role also includes addressing patient service concerns, collaborating with medical and administrative teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the hospital.

Qualifications
  • Operational management skills, including experience in coordinating day-to-day activities, workflow optimization, and basic project or process management.
  • Administrative and organizational skills, such as scheduling, documentation, record-keeping, and handling hospital or clinic front-office operations.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, clinical staff, and external partners, with a strong focus on service orientation and conflict resolution.
  • Basic understanding of healthcare or hospital operations, including familiarity with patient registration, billing processes, and quality or safety protocols (eye care experience is an advantage).
  • Proficiency with common office software (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets) and comfort working with hospital information systems or practice management tools.
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Tauru, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in hospital administration, healthcare management, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or healthcare operations coordination or team supervision is highly beneficial.
