Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) in India seeks an accounting professional to manage material accounting, GST compliance, and contractor invoice processing within a robust ERP environment. The role emphasizes accurate reconciliation, month-end close, and audit support.

You will perform GL scrutiny, prepare required financial reports, and coordinate with multiple departments to ensure accurate data and timely closing.

Responsibilities

• Material accounting transactions and reconciliations with documentation
• Contractor/service invoice processing per policy
• GST reconciliation, returns preparation and filing
• GL scrutiny to identify discrepancies and ensure proper entries
• Financial reporting support with schedules and audit-ready documents
• Inter-department coordination for reconciliations
• ERP operations using SAP/Oracle or other ERP systems for transactions
• Maintain accounting records and assist audits and statutory requirements

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Material Accounting: Handle material-related accounting transactions, including verification and reconciliation of material records.
2. Contractor/Service Invoice Accounting: Verify, process, and account for contractor and service invoices in accordance with company policies and applicable procedures.
3. GST Compliance: Ensure GST compliance, including GST reconciliation, return preparation, and filing.
4. General Ledger (GL) Scrutiny: Perform GL scrutiny, identify discrepancies, and ensure accurate accounting entries.
5. Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain schedules, supporting documents, and reports required for financial reporting and audits.
6. Reconciliation: Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in coordination with relevant departments.
7. ERP Operations: Use SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems for accounting transactions, invoice processing, and financial data management.
8. Documentation and Audit Support: Maintain proper accounting records and support internal and statutory audits as required.
