Job summary

Proclime seeks an experienced Assistant Manager to lead planning, budgeting, and execution of technology-based carbon projects within an EPC environment. The role requires strong project management, schedule development, cross-functional coordination, and delivering on time and within budget.

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering; or related field.
  • Postgraduate degree in Construction Management preferred.
  • At least 5 years in project planning and scheduling, EPC setting.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager with a solid background in planning, budgeting, and executing technology‑based carbon projects, preferably in an EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) setting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, which includes developing and managing schedules, coordinating cross‑functional resources, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high‑quality standards.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, including defining tasks, dependencies, milestones, and resource allocation using tools like CPM/PERT.
  • Coordinating personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Tracking project progress against established baselines, identifying potential delays or issues, and reporting on project status to stakeholders.
  • Identifying potential project risks, developing mitigation strategies, and implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.
  • Assisting in the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between different project teams, stakeholders, and external parties.
  • Performing on‑site inspections as required and monitoring ongoing field activities, identifying opportunities for improvement, and ensuring that all field operations comply with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and quality requirements.
  • Managing changes to project scope, schedule, or budget, and assessing the impact of these changes.
  • Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including progress reports, risk assessments, and change logs.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or civil engineering, with a postgraduate in Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in an EPC environment.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations and their compliances.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes.
