Job summary

Sika in Chennai, India seeks a technically skilled professional to drive product approvals and support concrete mix design and formulation for customer projects. You will work with ready‑mix producers, contractors, and precast facilities to tailor solutions and demonstrate performance on site.

You will conduct laboratory tests on concrete, aggregates, and cement, record findings, and provide on‑site technical support while staying ahead of market trends and enabling sales growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with concrete mix design and lab testing.
• Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into product development actions.
• Familiarity with product approvals and field demonstrations.

Responsibilities

• Approve new and existing products for customers to drive sales growth.

Job Description

Overview

To obtain the most suitable Sika admixture approved with Sika customers, such as ready-mix concrete producers, contractors, precast producers etc. In case, standard admixtures do not meet the customer requirements, suggest suitable modifications in the concrete mix design or as a last option do modifications in the admixture formulation to meet the concrete requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Product approval of new & existing customers leading to sales growth
• Understand and align product development as per customer requirement
• Mix designs as per customer requirements.
• Conduct Laboratory testing relating to Concrete, Aggregates, and Cement.
• Record, analyse, certify and prepare summaries of findings and maintain records of the results.
• Troubleshoot to determine reasons for problems of complaints.
• Provide technical support to customers /contractors on site.
• Engage into Product demonstration & testing
• Provide support to Sales team to conduct trials at site.
• Stay abreast of market trends as well as changes in market and competitive landscape and initiate necessary actions
