Job summary

The Magnum Ice Cream Company in Pune, India seeks a tax specialist to manage global tax reporting and compliance for multiple entities. You will drive VAT/GST, withholding taxes, corporate income taxes, transfer pricing, and group tax reporting across Business Groups, partnering with Finance and Tax teams and a third-party outsource provider.

The role

We’re looking for a highly motivated candidate who can deliver high quality inputs into our tax reporting and compliance processes, across multiple entities and jurisdictions.

You’ll be responsible for the Tax Reporting and Compliance processes for several countries in Magnum Ice Cream Company. This role offers high level of exposure to different Tax and Finance Teams in the business, as well as other Global Business Services teams, so offering a wide range of interactions with different stakeholders in the business. The main areas of Tax responsibility will be VAT/GST, withholding taxes, corporate income taxes, transfer pricing and group tax reporting.

You will be expected to focus on reporting and compliance for legal entities in one of our four Business Groups: Americas, Europe/ANZ, METSA (Middle East, Turkey & South Asia) or Asia.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Preparation for the tax returns (involving data preparation and analysis)
• Coordinating with Finance & Tax Teams for all taxes and reporting
• Coordinating with our third party outsource provider (providing information and tracking progress against the defined process)
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with controls in accordance with our controls framework
• Reviewing processes on a regular basis, including agreeing preventive actions or improvements
• Participate in automation projects and digital reports
• Preparation of reconciliations and other reporting metrics
• Meet KPIs related to submission of tax returns

We're Looking For Someone Who

• CMA /CA Finalist/ Chartered Accountant with relevant experience in global taxation & tax accounting (Americas, Europe/ANZ, METSA (Middle East, Turkey & South Asia) or Asia)
• Experience in Global Services Centre (preferred)
• Knowledge of SAP is must
• With 3 to 6 year’s of experience in Tax/Accounting role
• Ability to work collaboratively across an organisation and externally to resolve issues.
• Naturally curious with a continuous improvement mindset and able to be agile/adaptable in changing circumstances.
• Strong organizational skills and capable of handling a variety of tasks and prioritizing accordingly to meet deadlines
• Great attention to detail, project management, and problem-solving attitude.
• Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
