Job summary

Hyosung T&D India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced bidding/engineering professional for AIS/GIS substations in Pune. The role focuses on reviewing specifications, preparing techno-commercial bids, and coordinating inputs from clients, site teams, and sales.

The incumbent will guide the bidding team, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to value-engineering opportunities within a 5-day work week and flexible hours framework.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech / M. Tech in Electrical Stream required.
• Strong understanding of AIS/GIS substation equipment and HV system configurations.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards.
• Good coordination and communication skills for client and vendor interactions.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze technical specifications, bid documents, and scope of work for AIS & GIS substations.
• Identify technical requirements, deviations, risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Coordinate with clients, site teams, sales teams, and engineering groups to gather inputs.
• Lead, guide, and mentor the bidding/tendering engineering team.
• Manage end-to-end techno-commercial bid preparation for AIS/GIS substation projects.
• Prepare pre-bid queries, scope definitions, technical clarifications, and commercial impact assessments.
• Review vendor drawings and evaluate offers for contracting decisions.
• Knowledge of CT sizing, CT parameter calculations, and burden analysis.

Job description

• Review and analyse technical specifications, bid documents, and scope of work for AIS & GISsubstations.
• Identify technical requirements, deviations, risks, and value-engineering opportunities.
• Ensure accurate interpretation of client requirements during the bidding cycle.
• Base Design – review single-line diagrams (SLD), general layout drawings, section drawings,gas SLDs, and busbar configuration for HV substations.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, design standards, and internal engineeringguidelines.
• Manage end-to-end techno-commercial bid preparation for AIS/GIS substation projects.
• Prepare pre-bid queries, scope definitions, technical clarifications, and commercial impactassessments.
• Coordinate with clients, site teams, sales teams, and engineering groups to gather requiredinputs.
• Lead, guide, and mentor the bidding/tendering engineering team.
• Allocate workload, review deliverables, and ensure timely submission of bids.
• Foster collaboration between engineering, sales, procurement, and project managementteams.
• Evaluate technical and commercial impacts of customer specifications and tender conditions
• Coordinate with clients and site teams to gather necessary design inputs and resolvetechnical issues.
• Knowledge of Relevant IEC/IEEE standards for HV.
• Candidate should have good knowledge about AIS/GIS Substation Equipment
• Coordinating with sales and clients for design inputs.
• Review the vendor drawings and evaluate offers for making a contract.
• Additional know-how of CT parameter sizing, Type Test report review and witness experienceshall be preferred.
• Additional Technical Expertise
• Knowledge of CT sizing, CT parameter calculations, and burden analysis.
• Experience reviewing type test reports for HV equipment.
• Exposure to factory inspection, FAT, or type test witnessing is an added advantage.

Requirements

B.E./ B. Tech / M. Tech in Electrical Stream

Strong understanding of AIS/GIS substation equipment and HV system configurations.

Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and standards.

Good coordination and communication skills for client and vendor interactions.

AutoCAD or similar design tool knowledge is preferred.
