Job summary

Hyosungtndindia is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for HV Substation projects in Gurgaon. You will review specifications, prepare and verify SLDs, Earthing layouts, lighting, cable & cable tray layouts, and bus systems, and ensure compliance with IEC/IEEE standards.

You will also prepare BOMs, review vendor drawings, and coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for design inputs and approvals.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/MTech in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
• 8–12 years of experience in HV/substation engineering or equivalent.
• Solid knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards relevant to substations.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing technical specs, drawings, and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications, contract documents, and PO specs for AIS & GIS Substation projects.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings including SLDs, Earthing, Lighting, Cable layouts, Bus Systems, and Section Drawings.
• Prepare detailed BOM for complete substation projects.
• Review civil input drawings, site survey checklists, erection BOMs, and related design docs.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for design inputs and approvals.
• Prepare technical specs for bought-out items (e.g., Lightning Arresters, Instrument Transformers, Cables).
• Review vendor drawings, evaluate offers, and support vendor finalisation.
• Ensure designs comply with IEC/IEEE standards and project specs.
• Perform CT sizing, LA selection, Earthing design, and review Type Test Reports as per IEC.
• Expertise in switchgear and substation equipment; coordination with stakeholders.

Job description

• Prepare and reviewbasic and detailed engineering drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLD),Earthing Layouts, Lighting Layouts, Cable & Cable Tray Layouts, BusSystems, and Section Drawings.
  
• Prepare and reviewdetailed Bill of Materials (BOM) for complete substation projects.
  
• Review constructionBOM, detailed engineering drawings, site survey checklists, civil inputdrawings, erection key BOMs, and related design documents.
  
• Coordinate withclients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for design inputs, technicalclarifications, and drawing approvals.
  
• Prepare technicalspecifications for bought-out items such as Lightning Arresters, InstrumentTransformers, Density Monitors, Cables, and other electrical equipment.
  
• Review vendordrawings, evaluate technical offers, and support vendor finalisation.
  
• Ensure designscomply with relevant IEC/IEEE standards and project specifications.
  
• Perform CT sizing,Lightning Arrester sizing and selection, Earthing Design, and review Type TestReports as per IEC standards.
