Job summary

SEAWARD PACKAGING PVT. LTD. in Goa seeks an experienced Store & Inventory Manager to oversee daily store operations, maintain SAP inventory records, and ensure timely material readiness for uninterrupted production.

The role requires 8–10 years in stores/inventory within manufacturing, with strong SAP/ERP skills and fluent English/Hindi/Marathi/Konkani.

Qualifications

• Graduate or Post Graduate with 8–10 years in stores/inventory in manufacturing.
• Proficient in SAP/ERP systems.
• Strong English/Hindi/Marathi/Konkani communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Store operations and maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, packing materials, consumables, spares, printing materials and plant-use items.
• Control and document all material receipts, issues, returns, transfers and outward movements with proper authorization and records.
• Maintain min/max/reorder stock norms; review shortages, excess, slow-moving and non-moving inventory; take corrective actions.
• Review departmental requirements and raise indents after considering stock, open POs, material in transit and consumption.
• Coordinate with HO Purchase and vendors for timely POs, dispatches and deliveries; track pending material and delays.
• Verify incoming materials against PO, delivery docs, quantity and quality clearance; ensure GRN documentation and segregation of damaged material.
• Ensure material issues are against authorized requirements and monitor excessive consumption.
• Maintain stock reconciliation; conduct monthly stock verification and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain 5S/housekeeping and proper custody of all Store materials; segregate stock by status.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, Finance, Logistics and other HODs to avoid production disruption.
• Provide timely Store MIS including shortages, pending indents/POs, material in transit, stock norms and variance.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and report theft or shortages; support internal audits.
• Supervise Store personnel, allocate work, ensure SOP compliance and safe handling.
• Adhere to any other duties as required.

Job description

JOB PURPOSE:

• Responsible for complete Stores and Inventory Management at the Goa Plant, ensuring uninterrupted availability of materials for smooth operations.
• Control all inward/outward material movement, inventory accuracy, stock norms, timely indents, vendor follow-up, documentation and coordination with Plant HODs and HO functions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage day-to-day Store operations and maintain accurate physical and SAP inventory records for raw materials, packing materials, consumables, spares, printing materials and other plant-use items.
• Control and document all material receipts, issues, returns, transfers and outward movements. Ensure no material moves without proper authorization and records.
• Maintain minimum / maximum / reorder stock norms, review shortages, excess, slow-moving and non-moving inventory and take timely corrective action keeping Plant Management in loop.
• Review departmental requirements and raise timely indents after considering available stock, open POs, material in transit and actual consumption.
• Coordinate with HO Purchase and vendors for timely processing of POs, dispatches and deliveries. Maintain a pending-material / expected-arrival tracker and escalate critical delays.
• Verify incoming materials against PO, delivery documents, quantity and applicable quality clearance and ensure proper inward / GRN documentation & segregation of rejected or damaged material.
• Ensure material issues are made only against authorized requirements and monitor abnormal / excessive consumption.
• Maintain complete control and reconciliation of stock, including receipt, issue, consumption and balance.
• Conduct monthly physical stock verification and periodic cycle counts, investigate discrepancies and ensure timely reconciliation with system records.
• Maintain proper identification, stacking, location, custody, security and 5S/housekeeping of all Store materials and segregate usable, rejected, hold, scrap, slow/non-moving & excess stock.
• Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, Quality, PPC, Finance, Logistics and other Plant HODs to ensure material readiness and avoid production disruption.
• Provide timely Store MIS including critical stock, shortages, pending indents/POs, material in transit, stock norms, slow/non-moving stock and inventory variance.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support Finance/Accounts, internal audit and management requirements and immediately report theft, pilferage, unauthorized movement or unexplained shortages.
• Supervise Store personnel, allocate work, ensure adherence to SOPs and maintain discipline, accountability and safe material-handling practices.
• Adhering to any, other duties & responsibilities as and when required.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate / Post Graduate with 8 10 years of relevant Stores / Inventory / Material Management experience in a Manufacturing Industry.
• Good computer proficiency with mandatory knowledge of SAP/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English / Hindi / Marathi / Konkani.
