Job summary

Giesecke & Devrient GB Ltd. in Chennai seeks an experienced security professional responsible for comprehensive physical security and site safety. The role covers CCTV, access control, disaster planning, and collaboration with internal teams to maintain compliance and respond to incidents.

The candidate will oversee security staff, conduct risk assessments and coordinate audits, while aligning with corporate security policies and PCI/ISO standards. 8–10 years of relevant experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Physical Security and Building Management Systems (perimeter security, access control, fire safety).
• Knowledge of Information Security concepts (system, network, data security).
• Certifications in ISMS, Cyber Security are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Physical Security of the site including CCTV, access control, IAS, perimeter and fire safety.
• Coordinate with external security vendors for maintenance and incidents.
• Lead security staff and maintain records, reports and audits.
• Support Security Head in audits, certifications and site compliance.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for managing Physical Security of site (CCTV, Access control, IAS, Perimeter Security, Fire Safety etc.), and day-to-day monitoring of security infra, manpower movement and operations related monitoring and reporting.
• Knowledge of PCI compliances (Banking Card industry), ISO27001, other Health and safety standards.
• Understanding of Information Security concepts like System, Network and Data Security etc.
• Responsible for vendor coordination in respect to security product quotations, deployment, timely completion of preventive maintenance activities.
• Responsible to coordinate with External security vendors for any breakdown for timely restoration of services with 24*7 support to site security Team for any operational impact or emergency situation.
• Managing Physical access for Visitors and Staff, maintain required records.
• Knowledge in conducting periodic Risk assessment and effective Internal audit plan.
• Responsible for Internal Security audits and timely closures.
• Responsible for effective implementation of security policies in-line with corporate guidelines.
• Report and make recommendations to the Security Head on project, site strategies, including process improvements and best practices etc.
• Support Security Head in Certification Audits, change approvals, achieving site compliance, KPI & other reports etc.
• Support Security Head to identify and optimize the security infrastructure and cost savings.
• Responsible for maintaining due diligence in Security processes.
• Ability to appropriately apply risk management principles and practices to information & physical security assets, in projects, operations or security programs.
• Knowledge of VAPT activities, coordinate for closures with internal and external team.
• Responsible for Security Incident analysis, tracking with RCA and closures.
• Support Internal Teams for Information Security Incident (Virus, SIEM event tracking etc.) with closure.
• Responsible for maintaining Change requests, plans and related Risk with Change closures.
• Responsible for conducting Security and Awareness Trainings, Emergency Drills, Simulation exercises.
• Leading a team of security staff (Internal & External) for daily security operations, maintain record, documentation, reports etc. and support them 24*7 for any emergency situation.
• In-charge of Emergency and Disaster Management services.
• In-charge for Managing of Reception Security services with security team.
• Department Coordinator for Shipments received and dispatched.
• Responsible for maintaining relevant forms, registers (visitors, courier dispatch etc.) & periodic reports for security day to day operations.
• Responsible to maintain Security asset inventory and keep UpToDate.
• Implementation of safety and work environmental rules.
• Stay abreast of related emerging technologies and threats.

Expected Attributes:

• Technical knowhow: Work experience on Physical Security and Building Management Systems (Perimeter Security, Physical Access Control System, Fire Safety, IAS, Emergency procedures etc.) and Knowledge of Logical Security Systems (Firewall, Network security, Endpoint Security, SIEM, Access Control, System Security, Logical Security Best practices etc.).
• Certifications related to Information Security Management Systems and Cyber Security (e.g. ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / CEH / CCNA / CISM etc.) is an added advantage, and knowledge or practice on frameworks and Audit standards like ISMS / ISO 27001 / PCI / Cyber Security is preferred.

Education & Trainings:

• B achelor or Master Degree (BE / B.Tech / MBA) or equivalent in IT or IT Security relevant field, preferably with an additional diploma or Certifications in Security.
• Mandatory K nowledge of Security & Safety Systems ( Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Systems, Fire alarm and suppression system etc.) and Building Management Systems.
• Conducted various User Awareness Trainings, Drills on Fire Fighting, Safety trainings, Emergency etc.
• Knowledge of Information Security domain is an added advantage.

• Good knowledge on MS office Tools for Reporting
