Formación

• Bachelor of Technology or Master of Science in a related science.
• Minimum 4 years in Quality Control/QA in food-beverage industry.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GHP, HACCP, ISO 22000 and related standards.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with SOPs and food-safety specifications.
• Supervise the Quality Control team and allocate tasks effectively.

Job Description:

Varun Beverages Ltd. is seeking a technically competent Assistant Manager – Quality for its Pathankot plant. The role involves overseeing in‑process, raw material, packaging, and finished‑product quality, ensuring adherence to GMP, GHP, HACCP, and other food‑safety standards, and leading a team of QC professionals. The incumbent will collaborate with production, maintenance, and warehouse functions to resolve quality issues, support audits, and implement improvement initiatives that enhance product integrity and reduce losses.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor in‑process, raw material, packaging material, and finished product quality activities.


• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, GHP, HACCP, and food safety specifications.


• Supervise and deploy the Quality Control / Line Quality team effectively.


• Track critical quality parameters on production lines and initiate corrective actions promptly.


• Review laboratory test results, quality reports, deviations, and non‑conformities.


• Investigate quality issues and coordinate root‑cause analysis with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse.


• Maintain calibration, verification, and availability of laboratory equipment.


• Maintain accurate quality documentation and records per company and regulatory requirements.


• Support internal, customer, certification, and external audits.


• Drive quality improvement projects, process enhancements, and reduction of quality‑related losses.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/M.Sc. in Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field.


• Minimum 4 years of experience in Quality Control/Assurance within the food‑beverage industry.


• Strong knowledge of GMP, GHP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and related food safety standards.


• Proficiency in using laboratory instruments and interpreting analytical data.


• Excellent problem‑solving and root‑cause analysis skills.


• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop a small QC team.


• Familiarity with internal and external audit processes.


• Good computer skills (MS Office, ERP/QMS systems).


• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.


• Willingness to work in a shift environment at the Pathankot plant.
