Job summary

JobItUs in Mumbai (Wada area) seeks an experienced Asst Manager – QA to oversee QA for Dry Mortar and cementitious tiles. You will manage raw material selection, batching, testing and record-keeping, ensuring IS/EN/ASTM conformity and supplier quality.

You will drive root-cause analyses, batch records, audits and cross-functional collaboration to improve product reliability and sustainability. Strong lab skills and Six Sigma exposure are required.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in Quality Assurance in Dry Mortar / RMC plant / Building Materials.
• BSc / MSc in Chemistry or equivalent degree.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Standards IS, EN and ASTM Codes for concrete and cement products.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment such as Curing Chambers, CTM, UTM, MOR and Workability Tests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee quality control of Dry Mortar and Cementitious Tiles by managing raw material selection, batching and mixing at the factory.
• Ensure compliance with IS and EN standards for testing raw materials, packaging materials and finished goods.
• Monitor quality assurance processes to maintain product consistency and meet customer expectations.
• Proactively identify and resolve quality concerns to minimize product rejections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address customer feedback and improve quality standards.
• Provide technical support to the plant and installation teams for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Train the plant team on quality processes, industry standards and AAA (Appearance, Accuracy and Assurance) guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of tests, calibration reports and batch records.
• Develop and implement quality assurance strategies for product reliability and continuous improvement.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to industry standards and company policies.
• Work with suppliers to verify raw materials meet specified quality benchmarks.
• Perform root cause analysis and apply corrective actions using Six Sigma and FMEA.
• Optimize production processes to reduce defects, enhance efficiency and improve overall quality.
• Ensure workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
• Support & involve in new product developments
