Job summary

Atlas Copco Group in Pune, India is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Proposals-ES who will shape the technical proposal process for Oil-free Air products. You will work with Marketing Support and sales to deliver clear, accurate, and commercially sound proposals for capital equipment.

The role requires deep industry knowledge (12–15 years, 3+ years in compression or gas generation), strong English communication, and ability to mentor the proposal team while ensuring timely, compliant

Qualifications

• Minimum 12–15 years in the industry with at least 3 years in compression or gas generation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and internet-based software like iC3.
• Excellent written and spoken English; ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
• Knowledge of Atlas Copco products (ZR/ZT/G/ZH range compressors, air dryers, NG/NGME packages).

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve a clear technical proposal structure with Marketing Support and sales teams.
• Develop a structured method for proposal requests including approvals.
• Create and maintain supporting documents such as product descriptions, terms and datasheets.
• Document and record the proposal creation process for transparency.
• Ensure proposals present clear, accurate, up-to-date technical information and commercial terms.
• Review proposals prepared by other engineers for technical and costing accuracy.

Assistant Manager Proposals-ES

As a Assistant Manager Proposals-ES, your mission is to You are someone who is well acquainted with the Oil-free Air products and the Atlas Copco Compressor Technique organization.

You will

• To develop, maintain and continuously improve a clear technical proposal structure through working with colleagues in the Marketing Support Group and the sales teams which can be applied as the basis for all technical proposals and to ultimately contribute to profitable sales of capital equipment


• To develop a structured method for proposal requests to be submitted, checked, created and recorded whilst gaining required approval from manager.


• To develop, update and maintain as necessary supporting documents for proposals, such as product descriptions, commercial terms and technical datasheets.


• To document and record the process of creating a proposal for all involved to understand.


• To use technical and engineering knowledge to ensure that proposals are presented in a clear and easy to read manner that conveys relevant, accurate and up-to-date technical information..


• To use commercial awareness and experience to ensure that proposals refer to acceptable commercial terms and accurately represent a limited and approved level of commercial risk.


• To checkpossibility of standardizing proposal making process with ready cost references.


• To guide & develop talent in proposal team.

To review proposals prepared by other proposal engineers for technical & costing accuracy

To succeed, you will need

Experience/Knowledge Requirements

You are someone who is well acquainted with the Oil-free Air products and the Atlas Copco Compressor Technique organization (min. 12-15 years of experience within the industry with at least 3 years in the Compression technique or gas generation).

Must be adept in the use of Microsoft packages & should be well conversant with internet based software like iC3 etc. Excellent command of English and the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly in written form.

Knowledge of Atlas Copco products like ZR/ZT/G/ZH range compressors, CD/BD air dryers, NGP & NGME packages. Competency of handling complex oil & gas sector customer enquiries which involves complex project specifications

The Following Requirements Are Desirable

• Experience of working in a technical proposal or sales support role.


• knowledge of Leegoo Builder application for proposal making


• Product knowledge of air & gas compressors & related accessories of OFA.


• Experience of working with middle east region customers & consultants

Educational Requirements

• Technical qualification or experience of working in a technical environment


• University Degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent
