Job summary

KEC International in Bengaluru is seeking a Procurement Professional to coordinate material and service procurement across projects, ensuring timely deliveries and stakeholder alignment.

The role includes vendor onboarding, rate contracts, demand planning, inter-site stock transfers and strict process compliance to avoid stock-outs and expedite POs.

Responsibilities

• Consolidate procurement requirements from projects and coordinate activities across stakeholders.
• Monitor procurement status, track delivery SLA and material stock across sites.
• Empanel new service vendors and drive rate contracts at PCH level; manage vendor relations.
• Support negotiations and manage existing vendor relationships.
• Ensure timely rate approvals from client for Steel, RMC, and Services.
• Track vendor performance vs. delivery SLA.
• Consolidate material demand across PCH sites and monitor stock, safety stock, and wastage.
• Resolve procurement bottlenecks via weekly engagement with HO Procurement team; escalate material delays and risks to PCH.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Coordination

• Consolidate procurement requirements from projects.
• Coordinate procurement activities across stakeholders.
• Monitor procurement status and action closures.

2. Vendor Management & Rate Enablement

• Empanel new services vendors and drive rate contracts at PCH level
• Support negotiations & manage existing vendor relationships
• Ensure timely rate approvals from client for Steel, RMC, and Services
• Track vendor performance vs. delivery SLA

3. Demand Planning

• Consolidate material demand (Steel, RMC, Consumables) across PCH sites
• Monitor stock status across sites, including safety stock levels and track wastages
• Coordinate inter-site stock transfers to meet urgent requirements across PCH
• Track material wastage vs. norm across sites and drive reduction initiatives

4. PR to PO Expedition

• Resolve procurement bottlenecks via weekly engagement with HO Procurement team
• Escalate material delays and procurement risks to PCH; ensure zero stock-outs

5. Subcontracting & Payments

• Manage subcon cost, oversee billing timeliness & timely sharing of invoice tracker
• Prioritize sub-contractor payments across projects with PCH based on criticality
• Route exceptional payment approvals through CPMG & Commercial team

6. Tracking & Monitoring

• Maintain procurement schedules and trackers.
• Monitor delivery commitments and pending actions.
• Escalate critical procurement issues.

7. Documentation & MIS

• Prepare procurement dashboards and reports.
• Maintain procurement records and databases.

8. Process Compliance

• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures.
• Support audits and documentation reviews.

To coordinate procurement activities across the Business Unit by ensuring effective communication between projects, procurement teams, vendors and stakeholders for timely material and service delivery.
