Adani Group is seeking Lead/Operational Support Staff - Water Systems to manage daily operations of water treatment and distribution within a Thermal Power plant environment. The role requires coordinating with Maintenance, handling MRS/PR processes, and ensuring compliance with safety and IMS guidelines.

Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in boiler water chemistry, experience with coal/oil analytics, and a strong track record in process optimization and SAP-based reporting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Thermal Power plant chemistry operations, boiler water chemistry focus, coal & oil analysis, water treatment systems.
• Experience with plant chemical management and compliance.
• Strong documentation and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate daily water system processes: pre-treatment, RO, DM, ETP/STP, ZLD, NH3 storage, N-Pit, and chlorination systems.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for planned maintenance and PM scheduling.
• Prepare Daily MIS reports and maintain accurate inventory records of chemicals and consumables.
• Raise MRS for materials, PRs for services, and engage in SAP-related operations.

Job Purpose: This role is responsible to execute the daily operations of water systems, ensuring the achievement of production goals and maintaining quality standards. This role needs to coordinate with the Maintenance team for optimal equipment performance, managing procurement via Material Service Requests. The role also entails the preparation and submission of daily MIS reports and the maintenance of accurate inventory records.

Responsibilities

Lead/Operational Support Staff - Water Systems

Operational Excellence:

Execute the daily operations of pre-treatment, sea water/brackish water RO plant, DM systems, ETP and STP systems, ZLD, NH3 storage, N-Pit systems and Chlorination/Electro Chlorination systems, ensuring smooth execution of day-to-day activities.

Coordinate with the Maintenance team for timely completion of planned maintenance jobs to ensure equipment availability and follow up on PM schedule.

Execute the implementation of work instructions for efficient plant operations and achieve production quantity and quality as per set targets..

Raise Material Service Requests (MRS) to procure materials from stores as needed.

Reporting and Documentation:

Prepare and submit Daily Management Information System (MIS) reports.

Maintain accurate records of chemical and consumable goods inventory.

Engage in day-to-day SAP activities related to operations.

Raise Purchase Requests (PRs) for materials and services procurement.

Business Sustainability:

Implement and follow IMS, AWMS, DISHA and CHETNA guidelines within the department.

Maintain the safety of personnel and equipment through proper training and adherence to safety protocols.

Ensure adherence to compliance with all legal and statutory requirements concerning plant operations.

Ensure all formats are in line with PTW (Permit to Work) guidelines.

Digitization and Automation:

Execute comprehensive digitization strategies to optimize operational efficiency.

Implement automation solutions to support overall organizational goals/strategy.

Implement process and system improvements, adopting newer technologies and innovative ideas.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

M.Sc./B.Sc./B.Tech in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or a related field with a specialization in water chemistry or industrial chemistry preferred.

Work Experience (Range of years):

7+ years in Thermal Power plant chemistry area operations, with a focus on Boiler Water chemistry (500 MW+), coal & oil analysis and water treatment systems.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in Thermal Power Plant or similar industry.
