Express Global Logistics is seeking an Assistant Manager - Operations with expertise in Customs Brokerage to lead CHA operations at the Hyderabad branch. The role focuses on efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction, coordinating with documentation and finance teams.

You will oversee daily CHA activities, ensure timely imports/exports, and review documents before customs submission, while maintaining ERP audit trails and HSE standards. Fluency in Telugu and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; Diploma in Customs, EXIM, or related fields preferred.
• G Category Customs pass holder is required.
• Minimum of 5 years in a customs role.
• Strong understanding of Customs & Allied Act, laws and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Telugu and English languages are compulsory.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: The Assistant Manager - Operations / Customs Brokerage is responsible for overseeing daily Customs House Agent (CHA) operations within the branch, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and customer satisfaction. This role involves operational oversight, strong knowledge of customs, excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the daily CHA operations of the branch to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure timely out of charge of imports and LEO for exports
• Review documents thoroughly before putting up with customs
• Coordinate with customer, internal documentation team and finance team for smooth processing.
• Maintain DSR reports for shipments
• Handle bonding, ex-bonding and bond to bond movements of cargo including chemicals, liquor and other sensitive goods
• Ensure documents are uploaded to ERP for audit purposes
• Clear shipments in the most cost effective manner and maintain proper accounts of expenses
• Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards across operations.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Diploma in Customs, EXIM, or related fields is preferred.
• Credentials: G Category Customs pass holder.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a customs role
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Customs & Allied Act, laws, and procedures.
