Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Bengaluru seeks a manufacturing operations leader for EV motor components, including motor and drivetrain assembly, NVH testing, and quality control. You will drive productivity through lean, digitalization, and automation; lead 5-S and LEAN projects and implement MES, SAP/ERP hands-on.

Strong quality tools usage and problem-solving are required. Experience of 3–8 years in EV or motor manufacturing and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering are essential;

Qualifications

• 3 to 8 years of experience in EV or motor manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on SAP/ERP experience and MES knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Supervise winding, motor and drivetrain assembly, and NVH testing.
• Drive productivity with lean, digitalization, and automation.
• Lead 5-S and LEAN projects and ensure quality compliance.
• Oversee EHS audits (BBS, IATF) and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and implement software logic for digital manufacturing systems (e.g., MES).
• SAP/ERP hands-on and quality tools usage (8D, RCA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA).

To supervise manufacturing operations for electric vehicle components, focusing on motor and drivetrain assembly, NVH testing, and quality control. Drive productivity improvements through lean practices, digitalization, and automation.

• Ensuring In-house Auto Winding Production, Process and Quality.
• Responsible for Auto Winding, Connection, Testing, VPI, Baking and motor Assembly.
• Rework Clearance.
• Implementing and leading 5-S and LEAN projects for process.
• Ensuring Winding Process with high standards of Quality and Production.
• Implementing best practices to Reduce Rejection --- Enhancing Coil Making, Winding production.
• Leading the Assembly of induction motors.
• Maintain Standard Winding Practices.
• Oversee motor and drivetrain manufacturing including gear sub-assembly, differential assembly, and NVH testing.
• Lead rejection control at NVH End-of-Line (EOL) and implement corrective actions.
• Apply MOST, LEAN, and Work Study techniques to optimize work content and eliminate non-value-added activities.
• Develop and implement software logic for digital manufacturing systems (e.g., MES).
• Ensure compliance with BBS, IATF, EHS-OHSAS audits and drive closure of observations.
• In-process manufacturing expertise (motor, drivetrain, NVH testing).
• SAP / ERP hands-on experience must.
• Quality tools: 8D, RCA, PDCA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in digital transformation and MES system.
