Job summary

Adani Transmission (ATL) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction professional to supervise boiler structures and ducting erection across thermal power projects. You will coordinate with engineering, safety and planning teams to ensure timely progress, quality and compliance with drawings, specs and standards.

The role requires hands-on erection experience, strong contractor management skills and a focus on safety and quality across 300 MW+ utility-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of mechanical construction experience.
• Minimum 3 years in thermal power plant projects.
• Hands-on experience in boiler structure erection.
• Experience in ducting erection and installation.
• Experience in project execution, construction supervision, and contractor management.
• Exposure to utility-scale power projects 300 MW+ preferred.
• Experience in construction progress monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise erection and installation of boiler structures, ducting systems, and supports.
• Execute structural erection including columns, beams, platforms, galleries, bracings, stairways and access structures.
• Monitor erection of air ducts, flue gas ducts, ESP ducts, expansion joints, and associated systems.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, specs, erection methodologies and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, quality, safety, stores and contractors for smooth execution.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure milestones are met.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors on erection activities.
• Coordinate material availability and timely utilization of materials.
• Oversee fit-up, alignment, welding, bolting and installation per procedures.
• Support inspection activities, NDT coordination, quality audits and punch closure.
• Participate in pre-commissioning and mechanical completion activities.
• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports.
• Ensure EHS compliance and Adani safety standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and coordinate timely resolutions.
• Support project management in achieving cost, quality, safety, and schedule targets.

Mandatory

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Preferred

• Diploma/Certification in Construction Management.
• Certification in Structural Erection, Welding Inspection, or QA/QC.

• Ensure compliance with construction drawings, technical specifications, erection methodologies, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, planning, quality, safety, stores, and contractor teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure achievement of project schedules and milestones.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors engaged in structural and ducting erection activities.
• Coordinate material availability and ensure timely utilization of supplied materials.
• Monitor fit-up, alignment, welding, bolting, and installation activities as per approved procedures.
• Support inspection activities, NDT coordination, quality audits, and punch point closure.
• Participate in pre-commissioning activities and ensure mechanical completion of assigned systems.
• Track project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly construction reports.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, permit systems, work-at-height procedures, and Adani safety standards.
• Identify construction bottlenecks and coordinate with stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Support project management in achieving cost, quality, safety, and schedule targets.
