  • Maintain proper chart of accounts, ledgers, cost centres / project codes and narration / supporting-document discipline.
  • Complete monthly ledger scrutiny and identify unusual balances, duplicate entries, old advances, unreconciled items and incorrect classifications.
  • Prepare monthly closing schedules and ensure Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and key ledgers are ready within an agreed closing calendar.
  • Maintain fixed-asset records, depreciation schedules and supporting documentation in coordination with the auditor.
B. Receivables, Payables & Reconciliations
  • Monitor customer outstanding, ageing, collections and credit terms; provide a clear receivable action list to management / sales.
  • Review vendor bills, purchase booking, advances, debit / credit adjustments and payment due dates before payment processing.
  • Ensure periodic customer and vendor balance confirmations / reconciliations and close differences promptly.
  • Maintain bank reconciliations, cash / petty-cash controls and inter-unit / inter-account reconciliations.
  • Ensure purchase invoice, PO / work order, GRN / receipt and approval documentation are aligned before payment wherever applicable.
C. GST, TDS & Statutory Accounting
  • Prepare / review GST working, sales-register reconciliation, GSTR-1 / GSTR-3B data and purchase-register versus GSTR-2B reconciliation.
  • Track eligible / ineligible ITC, missing invoices, vendor filing gaps, reverse-charge items and unresolved GST differences.
  • Ensure correct TDS deduction, section mapping, payable reconciliation and timely data / schedules for statutory filing.
  • Maintain e-invoice / e-way-bill accounting discipline and reconcile tax data with books.
  • Coordinate with the auditor / consultant for GST, TDS, income-tax, tax-audit and statutory submissions while retaining complete working papers.
D. Banking, Working Capital & Finance Coordination
  • Prepare bank / lender documentation and financial data required for CC / working-capital limits, term loans, renewals, enhancements and periodic submissions.
  • Monitor bank balances, utilization, interest / charges, repayment schedules and upcoming finance obligations.

E. Manufacturing / Inventory / Project Accounting
  • Understand and monitor raw material, WIP, finished goods, scrap and stock-related accounting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Coordinate periodic stock / inventory reconciliation between physical / store records and financial books.
  • Support project / job / unit-wise cost tracking, material consumption review and profitability reporting where data is available.
  • Flag abnormal consumption, ageing advances, unbilled / unmatched items and inventory-accounting gaps for closure.
F. MIS, Controls & Team Coordination
  • Prepare concise weekly / monthly management MIS covering cash, receivables, payables, tax liabilities, bank utilization and major exceptions.
  • Prepare monthly P&L / Balance Sheet review packs with schedules and variance explanations.
  • Create and enforce maker-checker controls, payment approval discipline, supporting-document standards and finance filing systems.
  • Allocate / review work of accounts executives and ensure each recurring task has an owner, due date and closure evidence.
