Job summary

Selective Global Search seeks an Assistant Manager Maintenance for our Faridabad pharmaceutical formulation facility. You will lead mechanical maintenance across RMG, FBD, filling lines, coatings, and related equipment to maximize uptime while ensuring compliance with cGMP, USFDA, and MHRA standards.

Lead a team of technicians, plan spares and tools, maintain logs and SOPs, and ensure audit readiness. The role requires hands-on leadership, proactive problem solving, and strict adherence to EHS

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical maintenance of pharmaceutical production equipment.
• Knowledge of cGMP, USFDA, MHRA standards.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to plan spares, tooling and inventory.
• Documentation and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance of core equipment (RMG, FBD, filling lines, coating, capsule filling, blistering).
• Manage calibration schedules and validations (DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ) per GMP and regulatory standards.
• Supervise technicians and shift engineers for quick breakdown turnaround.
• Plan and manage spares and tools inventory to minimize downtime.
• Maintain logs, SOPs and history cards for regulatory audits (Audit-ready).
• Implement safe working practices and LOTO protocols.

Job Purpose

The Assistant Manager Maintenance will lead the mechanical maintenance activities of the Faridabad Pharmaceutical Formulation facility. The role is responsible for ensuring maximum operational uptime, reliability, and regulatory compliance of solid orals, liquids, or injectable production machineries. This includes overseeing preventive maintenance, breakdowns, qualification, and validation while strictly adhering to cGMP, USFDA, and MHRA standards

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Machinery Maintenance: Execute and oversee routine, breakdown, and preventive maintenance of core core formulation machineries including RMG, FBD, Blenders, Compression Machines, Coating Machines, Capsule Filling, Liquid/Injectable Filling lines, and Blister Packing machines.
• Calibration & Validation: Manage calibration schedules and machine qualifications (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ) in compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and global regulatory standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and guide a team of technicians and shift engineers to ensure quick turnaround times during mechanical breakdowns.
• Inventory Management: Plan and maintain critical engineering spares, consumable toolings, and change parts inventory to minimize equipment downtime.
• Documentation: Maintain complete documentation, logbooks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and history cards as required by regulatory audits (Audit-ready status).
• EHS & Compliance: Implement safe working practices, Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) protocols, and ensure all maintenance procedures meet Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) mandates.
