Antal International in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Logistics to support after-sales operations for imports and ensure smooth logistics for bulk chemicals. You will coordinate with customers, suppliers, agents, and CHA to ensure timely shipments and compliance.

Role requires 5+ years in logistics, strong incoterms knowledge, and experience with LC documentation and SAP. Working hours are typically 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with 5 days a week and 2nd/4th Saturdays off.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, preferably bulk liquid chemicals imports.
• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and international shipping documentation.
• Proficiency with Incoterms and LC documentation.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate sales contracts, dispatch confirmations, and vessel nominations to customers.
• Follow up on Letters of Credit (LCs) and coordinate amendments.
• Arrange DEAs and other required documents as requested by the Houston office.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, shipping agents, and brokers for shipment and indenting.
• Select and manage freight forwarders and Customs House Agents (CHA).
• Ensure smooth customs clearance with CHAs and surveyors.
• Monitor shipment schedules and minimize demurrage and costs.
• Coordinate with terminals, transport vendors, and other partners.
• Maintain timely documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure compliance with import procedures and documentation requirements.
• Follow up on payments with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain coordination with business heads and internal teams.

Job Description: Assistant Manager Logistics

Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
CTC: Up to 15 LPA incl 10% variable
Experience: Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience
Qualification: Graduate with a Diploma or Masters degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management
Working Days: 5 & 1/2 days a week; 2nd and 4th Saturdays off
Working Hours: Flexible working hours, typically 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Manager Logistics to support after-sales operations for Imports and ensure the smooth execution of logistics activities for the bulk and commodity chemicals business. The role involves coordinating with customers, suppliers, shipping agents, freight forwarders, and customs house agents (CHA) to ensure timely shipments, documentation, import compliance, and efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the timely issuance of sales contracts and dispatch of sales confirmations and vessel nominations to customers.
• Follow up on Letters of Credit (LCs) and coordinate required amendments.
• Arrange DEAs and other necessary documentation as requested by the Houston office.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, shipping agents, and shipping brokers for shipment and indenting activities.
• Select, negotiate with, appoint, and manage freight forwarders and Customs House Agents (CHA).
• Coordinate with CHAs and surveyors to ensure smooth customs clearance.
• Arrange Letters of Indemnity (LOIs) wherever required.
• Monitor shipment schedules and proactively minimize demurrage and other avoidable logistics costs.
• Coordinate with storage terminals, transport vendors, and other logistics partners.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation, reporting, and communication with all concerned stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with applicable import procedures and documentation requirements.
• Follow up on payments and coordinate with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain effective coordination with business heads and other internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in logistics, preferably in the bulk liquid chemicals imports
• Good understanding of import and export procedures and international shipping documentation.
• Strong knowledge of Incoterms (INCO Terms).
• Working knowledge of international Letters of Credit (LCs).
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.

The ideal candidate should have hands‑on experience in logistics operations within the bulk or liquid chemicals sector, with a strong understanding of import procedures, international shipping, LC documentation, customs clearance, and demurrage control.
