Job summary

Accor in India is seeking an experienced Events Manager to plan and execute conferences, weddings, and corporate functions. You will manage venue setup, catering, AV, guest accommodations, and budgets, while building strong client relationships and ensuring top service quality.

The role requires 3–5 years in event planning within hospitality, with excellent English communication, vendor negotiation, and team leadership. On-site hotel environment with collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 3–5 years of progressive experience in event planning, coordination, or hotel event management
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing 50+ events annually across multiple categories
  • Strong knowledge of event logistics, venue management, and hospitality operations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English; additional languages a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in event management software and hotel software systems
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills to secure competitive pricing

Responsibilities

  • Oversee event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and manage costs to maintain profitability and quality
  • Supervise and train events team members, ensuring adherence to hotel standards
  • Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure seamless event execution
  • Conduct site inspections and present venue options to clients
  • Monitor event quality and address issues to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and timelines
  • Generate post-event reports and client feedback for improvements
  • Identify sales opportunities and promote event services to increase revenue
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations during events
  • Maintain event files and databases for reference and client history
  • Collaborate with sales to develop competitive event packages and promotions

Job Description
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a diverse range of events including conferences, weddings, banquets, corporate functions, and social gatherings
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue setup, catering arrangements, audiovisual requirements, and guest accommodations
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their event objectives and ensuring exceptional service delivery
  • Oversee event budgets, negotiate with vendors, and manage costs to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards
  • Supervise and train events team members, including coordinators and support staff, ensuring adherence to hotel standards and procedures
  • Coordinate with various hotel departments (housekeeping, food and beverage, security, maintenance) to ensure seamless event execution
  • Conduct site inspections and walkthroughs with clients to present venue options and customize event packages
  • Monitor event quality throughout execution, addressing issues promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Prepare detailed event proposals, contracts, and documentation with accurate specifications and timelines
  • Generate post-event reports, gather client feedback, and implement improvements for future events
  • Identify sales opportunities and actively promote event services to increase revenue and market share
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations during all events
  • Maintain comprehensive event files and databases for future reference and client history tracking
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop competitive event packages and promotional strategies
