3–10 years of experience in Dispatch Planning, Logistics, or Supply Chain. Manufacturing plant experience is mandatory. Hands-on experience in Plant Dispatch Operations. SAP knowledge is mandatory. Exposure to Material Management, Stock Management, Transportation Management, and SCM. Experience in leading warehouse or dispatch teams.
The Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager – Dispatch Planning & Control will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring end-to-end dispatch operations to ensure timely delivery of finished goods while maintaining inventory accuracy, transportation efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The role requires close coordination with Production, Stores, Planning, Logistics, and Sales teams to ensure smooth material movement from the manufacturing plant.
Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules based on customer orders and production availability. Ensure timely dispatch of finished goods while meeting delivery commitments. Coordinate with Production, Planning, Sales, and Warehouse teams for dispatch readiness. Monitor dispatch performance and improve turnaround time.
Manage finished goods inventory and ensure stock accuracy. Monitor material movement between production, warehouse, and dispatch areas. Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing stock discrepancies. Ensure proper FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
Coordinate with transporters for vehicle availability and timely dispatch. Optimize transportation costs and improve vehicle utilization. Track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries. Resolve transportation and logistics-related issues proactively.
Coordinate with warehouse and stores teams for material availability. Ensure proper storage, handling, and dispatch documentation. Monitor loading and unloading activities while adhering to safety standards.
Verify dispatch quantities against customer orders and invoices. Ensure accuracy of delivery challans, e‑way bills, invoices, and transport documents. Maintain dispatch records and MIS reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Execute dispatch transactions in SAP. Update inventory, stock transfers, goods issues, and dispatch records in SAP. Generate operational reports and analyze dispatch performance. Ensure data accuracy within the ERP system.
Lead and supervise dispatch, warehouse, and logistics personnel. Allocate daily work and monitor team productivity. Train team members on SOPs, safety, and process improvements. Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities to improve dispatch efficiency and reduce logistics costs. Implement process improvements to enhance operational performance. Participate in inventory audits and process standardization initiatives. Support Lean, Kaizen, and 5S activities within the dispatch function.
