Job summary

A valon Technologies, Inc. in Chennai is seeking an experienced Import/Export Operations professional to manage SEZ and DTA logistics, ensure compliance with SEZ and DGFT regulations, and oversee bonded warehouse activities.

You will coordinate with Customs, vendors, and freight forwarders to optimize costs and efficiency. Responsibilities include High Sea Sales management, KPI-driven performance tracking, and contributing to MIS and senior management reports.

Qualifications

• Experience in import/export operations for SEZ and DTA units.
• Strong knowledge of customs regulations and documentation.
• Experience in bonded warehouse management and ex-bond clearance.
• Familiarity with High Sea Sales and related contracts.
• Ability to negotiate freight contracts and reduce costs.
• Proficient in SAP/ERP, Excel, and data analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage import/export operations for SEZ and DTA units.
• Coordinate with Customs, SEZ authorities, CHA, freight forwarders, and suppliers.
• Ensure timely customs clearance and compliance with SEZ, Customs, DGFT, and FTP regulations.

• Negotiate freight contracts and optimize logistics costs.
• Monitor freight, clearance, and vendor performance through KPIs and scorecards.
• Support customs audits and regulatory reviews.
• Prepare monthly MIS and quarterly management reports on imports, freight, compliance, and cost savings.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and logistics optimization initiatives.
