Job summary

Wabtec Rohtak site is seeking a Quality Assurance professional to manage incoming quality of BOP parts, ensure adherence to the Quality System, and deploy the group Quality strategy locally. The role involves PPAP/FAI, NCR containment, and continuous improvement initiatives across processes and suppliers.

The candidate will drive inspections, calibrations, and documentation, while maintaining KPI delivery and coordinating with SQA and NABL labs.

Responsibilities

• Incoming inspection of BOP parts & ERP clearance.
• Report incoming, line quality and Customer quality issues to supplier & SQA team for containment action & RCA. Validate corrective and preventive actions with the SQA team/ suppliers.
• Ensure PPAP/FAI and documentation, in case of any new development, alternate development & PCR. Preparing IQP, Verify AOI, packing standard, etc as per FAI check list.
• Adhere QRQC/WIM methodology for incoming / line / 0km quality issues and ensure 2-10-30days reactivity.
• Responsible to maintain end customer/TPI inspection requirements.
• Responsible to maintain zero production loss due to part Quality issue.
• Responsible to optimize inspection time & Introduce checking fixtures/ gauges.
• Responsible to monitor and update green channel status as per guideline.
• Responsible for maintaining skill matrix & quality trainings for team.
• Responsible to implement IMS(QMS,EMS,ISO45001,EnMS) & IRIS system requirements and Group procedures.
• Responsible to manage for 3rd party testings (Chemical, Mechanical, Rubber) from NABL lab.
• Responsible to ensure layout ,MSA & SPC as per plan.
• Responsible for red bin analysis & settle supplier rejections within time line. Maintain necessary documentations/tranactions of Oracle.
• Responsible for Calibration and AMC for plant instruments, Gauges and Equipment.
• Responsible to update weekly/Monthly reports & present to Manager.
• Responsible to achieve allocated KPIs /KRAs and maintain monthly reports.
• Encourage & participate in Quality, Cost saving projects, Kaizens & Suggestions.
• Authorize to stop the work in case of Quality & Safety rules are not being respected.
