Job summary

PMI Engineering Exports in Chennai is seeking an experienced CAM programmer to join our precision manufacturing team. You will develop and optimize 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Mastercam programs, plan CNC processes, and ensure tight tolerances in oil, gas, and medical tooling environments.

The role requires GD&T proficiency, tool selection, and jigs/fixture design, with PPAP and PFMEA documentation responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAM programming with Mastercam.
• Strong GD&T and drawing interpretation skills.
• Experience with PPAP and PFMEA required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize 3-, 4-, and 5-axis Mastercam programs.
• Plan CNC machining processes and optimize cycle times.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and design special-purpose tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings and GD&T specifications.
• Design jigs and fixtures and set up machining operations.
• Ensure dimensional quality and process efficiency; review PPAP and PFMEA.
• Collaborate with design, production, quality, and manufacturing teams.

Strong exposure in CAM Programming(3,4 & 5 Axis using Master CAM), GD&T,Tool selection and Special tool design,drawing Interpretation, Machining, PPAP and PFMEA,Oil & Gas & Medical Industry, Jigs and Fixture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis CAM programs using Mastercam.
• Perform CNC machining process planning and cycle-time optimization.
• Select appropriate cutting tools and design special-purpose tools.
• Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, and technical documentation.
• Design and develop jigs, fixtures, and machining setups.
• Ensure machining accuracy, dimensional quality, and process efficiency.
• Prepare and review PPAP documentation and PFMEA.
• Collaborate with design, production, quality, and manufacturing teams.
