Job summary

Career Tree Hr Solutions in Hyderabad seeks an experienced AGM Procurement Purchase & Contracts to lead direct and indirect procurement, including aviation spares, tools and services, and to drive supplier contracts.

You will manage RFQ, PO, delivery, handle AOG requirements, and supervise a procurement team while coordinating with Planning, Stores, Finance and MROs.

An engineering or logistics background with 10–20 years of aviation purchasing is preferred; IATA/DGR certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduation is required; Engineering or Logistics background preferred.
• Diploma in Materials Management / Logistics Management preferred.
• IATA-certified courses such as DGR preferred.
• 10–20 years of purchasing experience.
• Minimum 5 years of aviation purchase experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage purchasing activities for aviation spares, components, tools, equipment, services and facility requirements.
• Understand requirements from user departments and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Handle Normal and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements to support aircraft and facility maintenance.
• Monitor the complete procurement cycle from RFQ Purchase Order Shipment Delivery.
• Develop and maintain a strong vendor database and onboard new vendors.
• Execute purchase contracts and agreements; manage facility-related procurement requirements.
• Handle CAR approvals and approved advance payments; monitor vendor invoices and payments.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Finance, Facilities, Customs, Airlines, MROs and other stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct Procurement & Purchase

• Manage purchasing activities for aviation spares, components, tools, equipment, services and facility requirements.
• Understand requirements from user departments and ensure timely availability of materials.
• Handle Normal and AOG (Aircraft on Ground) requirements to support aircraft and facility maintenance.
• Monitor the complete procurement cycle from RFQ Purchase Order Shipment Delivery.

Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain a strong vendor database.
• Identify and onboard new vendors.
• Conduct vendor evaluation and monitor vendor performance.
• Maintain effective relationships with vendors and service providers.

Spares, Tools & Services Procurement

• Ensure timely positioning and availability of aviation spares.
• Arrange tools and specialized equipment.
• Coordinate repair, calibration and other required services.
• Manage exchange programs and PBH contracts.

Contracts & Commercial

• Execute purchase contracts and agreements.
• Handle facility-related procurement requirements.
• Understand contracts and ensure execution according to company requirements.

Approvals & Payments

• Handle CAR approvals and approved advance payments.
• Recommend POs as per the Delegation of Powers (DOP).
• Monitor vendor invoices and ensure timely payment processing.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure procurement activities comply with SOPs, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain procurement records and documentation.
• Take corrective and preventive actions arising from audits.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Stores, Finance, Facilities, Customs, Airlines, MROs and other internal/external stakeholders.
• Guide and motivate the procurement team.
• Support career growth and delegation of responsibilities within the team.

Qualification & Experience
