Assistant General Manager - HR Analytics
Location: Maharashtra, India.
Role Objective:
Lead the development and execution of HR analytics strategies and anchor strategic HR projects originating from the CHRO office to drive data‑informed people decisions, enhance workforce efficiency, and support the entire employee lifecycle in a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain comprehensive HR analytics dashboards and automated reports using PeopleStrong data to track key metrics such as attrition, performance, diversity, and talent pipeline.
- Perform advanced data analysis using SQL, Excel/Google Sheets, and Power BI/Tableau to identify trends and provide actionable insights for workforce planning.
- Drive people interventions by analyzing sales and manufacturing productivity data to identify growth opportunities and efficiency gaps.
- Utilize data analytics to gain deep insights into employee behavior and campaign performance, facilitating informed decision‑making at the leadership level.
- Lead and anchor high‑impact projects across the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding integration and performance management systems to succession planning and offboarding analytics.
- Act as the PMO for the CHRO, providing a central governance framework for all strategic initiatives led by Vertical HR Leads.
- Serve as the functional bridge between the CHRO and Vertical Leads, ensuring independent vertical projects remain aligned with the overall USV people strategy.
- Support Vertical Leads in anchoring projects across the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistency and quality standards.
- Coordinate with the Total Rewards lead to provide data‑backed modeling for rewards philosophies, merit cycles, and benchmarking.
- Consolidate attrition data from all verticals to identify cross‑functional trends; support HRBPs in designing and tracking retention interventions.
- Act as the central coordinator for organization‑wide engagement surveys and culture initiatives, synthesizing inputs into a cohesive CHRO‑level report.
- Maintain the ‘HR Master Project Tracker’, monitoring milestones, identifying risks, and providing progress visibility to the CHRO.
- Partner with key stakeholders to translate business needs into technical analytics solutions.
- Present data‑driven insights and project updates regularly to the CHRO and senior leadership.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Finance and IT, for seamless data integration.
- Drive HR innovation by exploring new technologies and methodologies.
- Leverage Google Workspace for enhanced team collaboration.
- Promote and embody the USV Credo in all data‑handling and project management activities.
- Conduct periodic reviews of HR processes and suggest enhancements.
Stakeholder Interaction
Internal: HRBP – Sales, HRBP – Manufacturing, HRBP – Corporate, Head – Talent Acquisition, Head – L&OD, CHRO, Business Leaders in Sales/Manufacturing/Corporate, Finance, Legal, IT.
External: Vendors (Analytics tool providers, consultants), Industry Peers (HR analytics forums).
Job Requirements
- Minimum of 2‑5 years of overall experience in HR Analytics, People Analytics, or HR Projects, preferably in Pharma, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or FMCG.
- Experience with PeopleStrong HR ERP and Google Workspace is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in leveraging data to make strategic HR decisions and drive workforce improvements.
- Strong expertise in HR analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) and leading high‑impact HR projects.
- Ability to foster a data‑driven culture and possess excellent communication skills.
Academic Qualifications & Certifications
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent PGDM with specialization in HR or Data Analytics from a premier B‑school.
- Relevant certifications: Any certification in People Analytics (e.g., AIHR, Google Data Analytics) is highly desirable.
