Job summary

HSBC is hiring an Assistant Director, Data Analytics to lead advanced analytics initiatives in Bengaluru. You will deliver data-driven insights across customer lifecycles and collaborate with senior leadership to influence business decisions.

You will develop and present analyses, manage project delivery to quality timelines, and apply machine learning and scripting in Python/BigQuery. Strong data modelling and Looker dashboard experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8–14 years of hands-on analytics experience in BI and data problems.
• Experience with PEGA and NBAD is required.
• Strong data modelling and BI visualisation skills.
• Experience building dashboards in Looker and scripting in Python/BigQuery.

In This Role, You Will

• Execute various analyses and develop strategies to support business decisions across the customer lifecycle for a particular product or market.
• Complete analysis as required, document results and present findings to stakeholders.
• Manage delivery within agreed timelines and in line with agreed quality standards.
• Drive business benefits through self-initiated projects.
• Learn new domain and technical skills and apply them to solve business problems.
• Use statistical and machine-learning algorithms to solve diverse business challenges and create significant business value.
• Apply knowledge of cloud analytics platforms, such as Amazon Redshift and Microsoft Azure.

To Be Successful, You Will

• Have 8–14 years of hands-on analytics experience, solving complex data and business intelligence problems.
• Have experience using PEGA and NBAD.
• Demonstrate strong analytical skills, with business analysis experience or equivalent.
• Have in-depth knowledge and understanding of data modelling and business intelligence visualisation.
• Be able to interact confidently with senior management and communicate and synthesise information clearly and simply.
• Have experience with scripting and Looker dashboard development.
• Have scripting knowledge in BigQuery or Python.
• Demonstrate strong visualisation, dashboarding and storytelling skills.
• Have advanced Excel knowledge.
• Have experience in the contact centre industry.
• Have knowledge of Confluence and Google Cloud Platform for managing large datasets and designing relational and dimensional data models.
• Python scripting knowledge would be advantageous.
