Job summary

Welspun World in Maharashtra, India seeks a proactive Supply Planner to oversee end-to-end supply planning, demand fulfilment, and inventory optimization. You will drive the S&OP process, coordinate with suppliers, plants, and sales, and ensure uninterrupted product availability across the network.

The role requires 3+ years in supply/demand planning, strong Excel and ERP experience (SAP preferred), and a track record in MIS reporting and KPI analysis.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, MIS, or related functions.
• Strong knowledge of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Inventory Management.
• Hands-on experience in S&OP, Production Planning, and Capacity Planning.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience in MIS reporting, dashboard preparation, and KPI analysis.
• Knowledge of automation tools such as Power BI, Power Query, or similar reporting platforms is preferred.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end supply planning and demand fulfilment processes.
• Drive the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process and ensure effective execution.
• Manage inventory optimization to maintain optimum stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Plan seasonal demand, new product launches, and capacity requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturing plants, warehouses, procurement, logistics, and sales teams to ensure uninterrupted product availability.
• Monitor warehouse capacity and ensure efficient inventory movement.
• Oversee production planning and demand forecasting to improve forecast accuracy.
• Drive automation initiatives to improve planning efficiency and reporting accuracy.
• Prepare and publish MIS reports, dashboards, and supply chain KPIs for management review.
• Monitor and improve key metrics such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), Fill Rate, Inventory Turns, Forecast Accuracy, and Customer Service Levels.
• Manage PR, PO, and SO approval processes in line with business requirements.
• Lead governance and SOP compliance across planning activities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain challenges and manage escalations.
• Mentor and guide the planning team to enhance operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
