Job summary

Munters in Ambernath, Mumbai is seeking an Assistant/Deputy Manager Projects & Planning to take ownership of assigned customer and intercompany projects from order receipt to dispatch, ensuring on-time delivery.

You will prepare project plans, BOMs, material plans, coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, QA, Stores and Dispatch, track milestones, manage risks, and drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy and lead times.

Qualifications

• Education: BE / BTech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience in projects & Planning.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned customer and intercompany projects, ensuring seamless execution from order receipt to final dispatch while meeting committed delivery schedules.
• Prepare and maintain project plans, BOMs, and material requirement plans, monitor project milestones, identify potential risks, and drive timely closure of action items.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Production, Quality, Stores, and Dispatch to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials, manufacturing capacity, and dispatch readiness.
• Act as the primary planning contact for assigned projects, maintaining effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders on project status, delivery commitments, and milestone progress, in coordination with the Project Planning Manager.
• Track project performance through regular reviews, identify bottlenecks, recommend recovery plans, and ensure projects remain on schedule to meet customer commitments.
• Support production planning and drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing planning accuracy, optimizing resource utilization, reducing lead times, and improving cross-functional collaboration.
• Support the Project Planning Manager in customer reviews, project governance, and strategic planning activities, while independently managing assigned projects and ensuring successful execution.

Desired Profile:

Proven experience in projects & Planning

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a

related field.

Software Proficiency:

• MS office (proficiency in Excel)
• Project Management Tools (MS Project)
• Any equivalent software Knowledge for material layout optimization
• AutoCAD software.
