Job summary

Vantage India Darjeeling is seeking a kitchen assistant to support the Head Chef in preparing cafe menu items, washing and chopping ingredients, and maintaining quality and presentation.

You will help ensure timely service, uphold FSSAI hygiene standards, monitor stock, minimize wastage, and assist during peak hours in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking caf menu items.
• Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, marinating, and measuring.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
• Ensure food is prepared and served within prescribed timelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and workstations.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards (FSSAI).
• Monitor stock levels and help minimize food wastage.
• Support kitchen operations during peak hours.
