Job summary

Kove centres seek an Assistant Clinical Assessor to provide clinical and developmental support across centres, focusing on child assessment, enrolled-parent support, facilitator guidance, and clinical coordination.

The role requires experience in early childhood assessment, knowledge of milestones, strong documentation, and effective parent communication across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Experience in early childhood development and developmental assessments.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and developmental screening.
• Strong observation and documentation/report-writing skills.
• Good parent communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental screenings and routine assessments for children aged 2–6 years.
• Conduct parent interviews and gather developmental history.
• Maintain records of assessment reports, PLOP summaries, developmental observations, and recommendations.
• Act as the SPOC for all enrolled parents for developmental updates, routine concerns, communication, and follow-up.
• Guide facilitators on individual children's developmental, behavioural, communication, and learning needs.
• Monitor children's developmental progress and flag concerns requiring clinical review.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-ups with therapy and other relevant professionals.
• Coordinate with facilitators, therapists, and centre teams to ensure continuity of support.
• Follow Kove's clinical SOPs, confidentiality, documentation, and child-safety protocols.
• Escalate complex clinical concerns and cases to the Clinical Assessor / Cluster Operations Manager.

Job description

Qualifications

• M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology / Child Psychology / Applied Psychology
• OR
• B.Ed. Special Education / Master's in Special Education
• Relevant experience in early childhood, developmental assessment, special education, or early intervention.

Experience & Skills

• 3–5 years of experience working with children, preferably aged 2–6 years.
• Knowledge of developmental milestones and developmental screening.
• Strong observation, documentation, and report-writing skills.
• Good parent communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to guide facilitators and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently across multiple centres.
