Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Educational Teaching Assistant to join Vokx Inclusive, a multidisciplinary rehab unit for individuals with diverse needs. This full-time role involves working closely with our educators and therapists to provide one-on-one academic and behavioural support and to assist in therapy sessions and daily center operations.

Responsibilities

• Support individual clients in therapy or learning sessions, ensuring participation and engagement.
• Assist educators and therapists in delivering customized learning and therapy activities.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain educational and therapy materials.
• Adapt lesson materials and instructions based on the lead educator/therapist’s guidance.
• Document basic observations and progress for review by the supervising professional.
• Encourage social, behavioral, and learning development in clients.
• Facilitate smooth transitions between activities and assist during group programs.
• Participate in and support centre-led community and outreach initiatives to promote inclusive education and awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Education, Special Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Care & Education, or a related field.
• Background or experience in shadow teaching or classroom assistance.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability.
• Willingness to learn therapy techniques and inclusive teaching methods.
