Job summary

KLAY Schools in Hyderabad is seeking a Facilitator for ILAP to support young children with special needs in a nurturing classroom.

Qualifications include basic graduation plus Certification in Special Education and Early Childhood Education training. 6 months to 1 year of experience with children with special needs is preferred. Work timings include multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with parents, psychologists and therapists to understand the child’s learning and care needs
• Implement ILAP as guided by the designer and KLAY team to provide a safe and learning environment
• Attend to feed/nap requirements of the child and monitor development
• Record developmental progress and challenges and report to stakeholders
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings and ILAP zone activities
• Be a team player with teachers and center staff
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance
• Bring a positive attitude and openness to feedback

Experience At six months to at least one year of experience working as a Special Education Teacher or working directly with children with special needs

Work Timings 8:30 AM 5:30 PM /9 AM 6 PM/ 10:00 AM 7:00 PM

Main Responsibilities of a facilitator in the classroom is to help his/her student:

• Collaborating with parents, psychologists and designer understand the core learning and care needs of the child from the parents and the therapists
• Implement ILAP as suggested by the designer and KLAY team to provide the requisite safe and learning environment to the child
• Take care of the specific feed/nap requirements of the child
• Record the developmental progress and challenges faced if any
• Share feedback with the stakeholders on the decided frequency
• stay focused – incase of incidents or any challenges, takes appropriate actions and report to all the stakeholders
• Participate in the PTC along with the assessor
• participate appropriately in ILAP zone

Individual Responsibilities

• Be a team player who can work with other teachers and centre staff
• Arrive on time for work or contact the Center when delayed
• Be reliable in attendance and give ample notice for absences
• Come to work with a positive attitude
• Approach criticism with a learning attitude
• Communicate directly and avoid gossip
