Job summary

Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (HAECO) is seeking a capacity planning/operations analytics specialist with at least 2 years in aviation. You will analyze data, support manpower planning, and help forecast resource requirements to optimize hangar and line operations.

Key responsibilities include developing capacity scenarios, monitoring WIP progress, and collaborating with the Takt and BM teams to align project milestones with capacity availability.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data analysis with ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Experience with capacity modelling tools or techniques to forecast resource requirements.
• Familiarity with software for capacity planning, project management, and data visualization.
• Able to work under tight schedules.
• University degree in Production or Industrial Engineering or Data Sciences preferred but not essential.

• Closely monitor WIP progress with Takt team / BM Managers and review capacity replan needs.
• Reserve / replan capacity considering project priority, trade capacity, workload plans, and potential risks.
• Project future trade workload to support BM Development Manager with HC recruitment.

Position Description

What You'll Do

• Solution Proposals: Develop and propose alternative solutions for capacity rearrangements to meet project milestones. Minimize impact on hangar operations and future capacity plans.
• Manpower Availability Support: Assist the Resources Planning team by providing reliable data on manpower availability for new business inquiries.
• Closely monitor & verify WIP project progress with Takt team / BM Managers, review whether capacity replan is needed
• Reserve / replan capacity considering

  • V0 & V1 workload plan from TET & TAKT team
  • Potential risk of TRT extension
• Project future trade workload to support BM Development Manager with HC recruitment

What You'll Need

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the aviation industry, with exposure in Project Management, capacity planning or operations analysis
• Strong proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights
• Experience with capacity modelling tools or techniques to forecast resource requirements and optimize utilization
• Familiarity with software applications for capacity planning, project management, and data visualization (e.g. Excel, SQL, Power Platform, Tableau)
• Able to work under tight schedule
• A recognized university degree in Production or Industrial Engineering or Data Sciences or related disciplines but not essential
