Job summary

Vishal Infrastructure Limited in Leh, Ladakh, is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support project-based accounting and financial operations at site level. You will handle vendor billing, cost tracking, and statutory compliance for construction projects.

The role requires 3 years of construction accounting experience, proficiency in Tally/ERP and MS Excel, and strong analytical skills. Site work and relocation to project sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or equivalent.
• 3 years of experience in construction/project accounting (preferred).
• Hands‑on experience with Tally, ERP systems, and MS Excel.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS (especially contractor payments), and basic labour compliance.
• Understanding of RA billing, work orders, and project costing.
• Good analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple teams (site + HO).

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day accounting activities including voucher entry, ledger posting, and documentation for project/site accounts.
• Handle contractor and vendor billing, verification of invoices, and processing payments as per work orders and agreements.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable related to project sites and head office coordination.
• Maintain records in Tally/ERP systems for project-wise cost tracking and reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliation and monitor site-level transactions.
• Track and record project expenses, material purchases, and subcontractor payments.
• Assist in preparation of project cost reports, MIS, and budget vs actual analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, labour cess, and other statutory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, including project audits and documentation.
• Maintain and monitor petty cash at site, including labour payments and daily expenses.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and procurement teams.
• Assist in mobilization advances, retention money tracking, and RA bill reconciliations.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the Accounts Manager / Finance Head.
