Job summary

Kannanware in India seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee the Assembly shop, Fabrication, Blasting and Painting, Packing and dispatch. You will ensure safe work practices, maintain discipline on the shopfloor, and drive on-time production plans.

You will verify components meet drawings, manage resources, keep SAP entries daily, coordinate with other functions for proper packing, maintain 5S, prepare MIS reports, and implement improvements to productivity, safety and quality.

• Ensure safe work practices are followed in all activities.
• Ensure the quality of the output in each workstation. Check and validate components meet drawing requirements.
• Maintain discipline on the shopfloor.
• Ensure the Production plan is achieved.
• Shopfloor is maintained clean and items are properly identified.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety points.
• Coordinate between departments to meet deadlines and targets.
• Plan for resources and design fixtures/tools for safety, quality and productivity.
• Ensure SAP entries are updated daily and MIS reports prepared.
• ISO documentation and daily communication of safety and 5S.
• Monitor paint and blasting consumables and update ledgers.
• Identify improvements to processes and cost-reduction opportunities.
• Train and develop people for multiskilling and enforce procedures.

Responsible for the overall activities of Assembly shop, Fabrication, Blasting and Painting, Packing and dispatch.

Ensure the safe work practices are followed in all the activities

Ensure the quality of the output in each workstation . Check and validate the components meet the drawing requirements.

Maintain the discipline inside the shopfloor .

Ensure the Production plan is achieved

Ensure the shopfloor is maintained clean and the items are properly identified

The overall standard hours for the activities are adhered to

Co-ordinate between departments to meet the deadlines and targets

Plan for the resources

Ensure the processes are followed as per the standard operating procedure.

Safe storage of the WIP paint materials, monitor and control the usage of the paint for each component .

Identify and implement improvements in processes.

To improve the productivity , improve safety and quality of the out put .

Identify the cost reduction possibilities and implement them

Train and develop people for multiskilling

Ensure necessary disciplinary actions are taken against people for not following the procedures and processes

Take care of the tools maintenance. Ensure the periodic maintenance activities are carried out

Ensure the Safety points assigned for completion are completed on time

Ensure all the details to be updated in SAP are updated on daily basis

Plan and design the necessary fixtures, tools and material handling equipment to ensure safety, quality and productivity are maintained .

Ensure the NC’s are closed on time. Conduct RCA.

Do the analysis of the data to understand the process and make necessary improvements.

Coordination with other functions to ensure the proper packing of the Active parts .

Preparation of the MIS reports .

Daily Activities:

Morning Pledge - Safety and 5S. General communication

Ensure the daily plan vs actual output

Ensure the SAP entries are made

Monitoring the paint and blasting consumable usage . Update the ledgers

Communication to Security whenever external people are visiting or engaged in activities

Issue suitable Work permits for non-routine activities

Generate the Scrap note whenever scrap is moved to yard .
