Role Description

The Articled Assistant internship role at ABCD & Co LLP is an on-site position based in Chennai. The Articled Assistant will support audit and assurance assignments, including statutory audits, tax audits, and other specialized audits under the guidance of senior team members. Daily responsibilities may include assisting with accounting and bookkeeping, preparing working papers, supporting tax and GST compliance, and helping with documentation for certifications and incorporations. The role also involves contributing to risk management and internal control review activities, participating in client meetings, and maintaining accurate, organized records and reports. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to diverse industries, professional ethics, and the practical application of accounting and auditing standards.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) with eligibility to undertake articleship, or an equivalent professional qualification track.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing standards, and basic taxation concepts (direct and indirect taxes).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting and ERP software is an advantage.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and interact professionally with clients.
• Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to integrity and professional ethics.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work accurately under deadlines in a structured, on-site environment.
• Willingness to learn, adaptability to new technologies and processes, and interest in audit, taxation, and risk management.
