Role Description

The Articled Assistant will work full time on-site in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, supporting the firm’s tax, audit, and compliance engagements. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing working papers, performing vouching and verification, and supporting internal control reviews. The role involves helping with direct and indirect tax computations, return filings, and basic tax research under relevant laws and regulations. The Articled Assistant will also support corporate governance and compliance activities, including documentation, statutory filings, and maintaining accurate records. The position provides structured learning, exposure to diverse client sectors, and close collaboration with senior team members on client assignments and special projects.

Qualifications

• Enrollment as an Article under the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), with completion of required eligibility to commence articleship.
• Foundational knowledge of accounting standards, auditing principles, and direct and indirect tax laws.
• Strong numerical aptitude, analytical thinking, and attention to detail in documentation and working papers.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting or ERP software.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear client-facing communication and report drafting.
• Ability to work on-site in a team-based environment, manage time well, and handle multiple assignments and deadlines.
• High level of integrity, professional conduct, and willingness to learn across tax, audit, compliance, and advisory domains.
• Prior internship or exposure in a CA firm and interest in sectors such as banking, NBFCs, and startups will be an added advantage.
