Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Articled Assistant role based in Bengaluru. The Articled Assistant will support audit and assurance engagements, including vouching, verification of records, preparation of working papers, and assistance in drafting audit reports under the guidance of seniors. Daily tasks include maintaining accounting records, preparing financial statements, and assisting in tax computations, filings, and compliance across direct and indirect taxes. The role involves working on internal and concurrent audits, supporting corporate finance and valuation assignments, and conducting research on accounting, auditing, and taxation standards. The Articled Assistant will collaborate closely with team members, follow professional standards, meet assignment deadlines, and participate in learning initiatives to build technical and professional skills.

Qualifications

• Candidates should be eligible to be registered as CA Article trainees with ICAI and eligible to undertake articleship training.
• Strong foundation in accounting principles and financial reporting, including preparation of ledgers, trial balances, and basic financial statements.
• Understanding of auditing concepts and procedures, such as internal control testing, documentation of work papers, and application of auditing standards.
• Basic knowledge of taxation (direct and indirect), including returns, compliances, and ability to interpret relevant provisions.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools; familiarity with accounting and audit software is an advantage.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear work papers, emails, and basic reports.
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment while maintaining professional ethics and confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt to diverse assignments across audit, tax, and advisory services.
• Prior internship or practical exposure in accounting or audit (if any) will be considered an added advantage.
