Job summary

Licious, Bengaluru-based meat and seafood company, is seeking an experienced operations leader to manage last-mile delivery teams across hubs and riders. You will drive SOPs, resource planning, and performance coaching to ensure timely, cost-effective order fulfillment.

Lead recruitment, training, and ongoing development while ensuring safety, policy adherence, and high service levels. Strong Hindi and English communication is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in last-mile logistics, supply chain, e-commerce, or similar operations roles.
• Proven experience in leading large ground teams in a high-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of hub management, delivery logistics, and process optimization.
• Proficiency in Hindi and English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a workforce of 100+ delivery riders and 30+ hub staff (including packers and support crew).
• Build a motivated, high-performing team through structured training, coaching, and performance management.
• Drive engagement by maintaining open communication, resolving conflicts, and fostering a harmonious work culture.
• Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for riders and hub staff as per business needs.
• Conduct interviews, induction, and on-the-job training for new team members.
• Ensure smooth functioning of hubs by implementing and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Plan and optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effective and timely order fulfillment.
• Maintain high service levels through proactive issue resolution, contingency planning, and on-ground supervision.
• Monitor hub dispatch accuracy, on-time delivery, and rider performance to exceed customer expectations.
• Uphold safety and compliance standards at hubs and during delivery operations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, delivery protocols, and local regulatory requirements.
• Create and deploy CAPA for customer escalations and complaints with urgency and empathy.
• Analyze operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present performance reports with actionable insights for leadership review.
• Leverage data to make informed decisions and continuously refine hub operations.
• Effectively communicate across levels - from riders and hub staff to senior management in Hindi, and English.
• Stay agile by adapting to new technologies, tools, and processes as the business scales.
